Author: Takashige Hiroshi (other work: Spriggan)
Artist: Double S
Plot
This story revolves around a 12 year old girl, Toyama Haruka, with an above 90% precognative ability. She was taken from her parents and was to be used to help a large corporation, Exsolid, earn more money. During a drive to Exsolid's building, she escapes and seeks out blind man from the crowd by the name of Hijikata Mamoru. She asks him to save her "until death do us part." It becomes a large action packed story from there with Mamoru and others trying to stop terrorists and the like.
Characters
Ignoring all the things that has happened, Haruka is your average teenage girl. She is calm and innocent. Because of her power, she is able to warn those close to her of dangers that may happen in the near future, which makes her somewhat cryptic.
Mamoru is your not-so-average blind man. Using Igawa's technology, Mamoru can "see" using stereology. Skilled in sword fighting and very good reflexes he is a formidable opponent. The way he acts and talks is similar to a criminal, which makes him untrustworthy to some characters.
Other characters include (but not limited to):
-Igawa: the techie back-up man for mamoru
-Sierra: the sexy member of an anti-terrorist group that is working with Mamoru
Artwork
The art style is very bold with heavy backgrounds and lots of black, but you can clearly see what's going on. Details are drawn out like in Haruka's and Sierra's hair, the weapons, and backgrounds. It kind of reminds me of the style in Death Note. A cool thing that you see throughout the manga is Mamoru's "vision" which looks like a computer diagram using only lines to make contors of items.
Overall
I really enjoy reading this manga! It's not the type I usually read with it's dark look and detailed action but who can't say no to a butt-kicking blind swordsman?! Also the very faint romance that's going on is quite interesting, though sort of uncomfortable to think about. I'm not going to say who they are. You got to read up to chapter 16!

I'm just working hard on schoolwork and thinking about colleges... and Forensics... and CSI... and maybe dressing up as a male character from CSI on Halloween... think CWA will let me?

What colleges are you thinking about? As a forensics major? I heard that forensics is actually really boring. I'm probably going to go to UW for pharmacy. I'm glad to hear that you're studying hard. I've become quite the procrastinator... Do you have any APs?
I think it would be okay to dress up as a CSI character on Halloween. It won't be too different from regular clothes, right? I'm glad that Halloween is on a friday. That means that I won't have to continuously open the door (also my kendo is from 6-8pm). Last Halloween I have to stop reading my history book every five minutes just to give candy...

But... I'd really go into the costume, i.e: cross-dressing. Ah, who cares anyway. I'm doin' it.
